How to remove the account picture?

Go to Start then search "Your account picture and profile settings" without quotes.
There should be a new item named just that, click on it.
This is only if you want to change the picture.
If you want to remove the account picture, right click the Start button, then click Run, then enter the following: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures
Delete every picture in there, and reboot. Hope that helps.

Sign in to the Your info page with your Microsoft account.
https://account.microsoft.com/profile
Select Add picture or Change picture, then follow the instructions.
or
In Windows 10
Select the Start button, then select Settings > Accounts > Your info .
Under Create your picture, choose Browse for one . Or, if your device has a camera, choose Camera and release your inner artist as a portrait photographer.

Go to Settings > Accounts > Your info > Create your Picture. Choose the Browse button, then in the mini-explorer it opens, clear the address bar and copy/paste into the bar %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures and then press "Enter".
Right click the Picture you want to remove to Delete, then Choose Picture on the empty box.

Open File Explorer (folder icon on your Taskbar)
On the view ribbon, check the box marked 'Hidden Items'
In the address bar, paste this text then hit Enter:
%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures
In that folder you will find the user account pictures . . .
