HOW DO I MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT? I have searched extensively on how to make a complaint to this company (Windows, Microsoft and anything in between). I've seen countless questions on it but have been continued to only to redirection. NO ACTUAL ANSWERS TO THE PROBLEM. I am not looking for anyone to fix anything. I would like a link, or a direction, or ANY way of putting in a FORMAL COMPLAINT.

It is honestly appalling how many people have GENUINE issues that need to be solved but you have not either fixed the problem for them or let them have a voice about the matter. Disgusting of a company to take advantage of the people who are buying their products. I understand the people moderating these questions are just normal people living their normal lives, my beef is not with you. If you do not actually have a place to voice complaints, then TELL ME.  The fault is on the company for not having those resources. I do not believe that the world properly understands just how corrupt this company would be then to have such a monopoly over the computer industry, to be able to do whatever you want with your computers, your programs, and your customers without any consequences because you have silenced the voices of the very people who are putting profits in your hand. Atrocious. Thank you for listening to my rant, and thank you in advance whoever is going to be answering this question. I appreciate the help in this matter.

Hi PJ. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Guardian Moderator here to help you.

If you want to complain to Microsoft use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. But Microsoft will not even see it here because this is a tech forums where we are mostly volunteers trying to help solve your problems.

If you have specific problems then I have ten years experience daily in forums, and the highest award in the tech field every one of those ten years. I will be glad to help anyone who is polite and cooperative for as long as it takes.

I also specialize in getting a much better install. What we have found is that in Windows 10 everything depends on the quality of the underlying install, the same reason enthusiasts have never run Factory or Upgrade installs because they know there would be endless issues.

For example there have been zero return problems by those who follow the gold standard Clean Install here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki.... It is better and faster than any previous version of Windows, and a better install than any amount of money could buy. So when you get time I'd study over that to see if it's something I can help you do.

There is also an automated Fresh Start that reinstalls Windows while shedding factory bloatware that can cause issues and affect performance, saves your files, but doesn't clear the drive to get it cleanest: https://www.howtogeek.com/265054/how-to-easily-...

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

Update your drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker. Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.

If nothing else works then do a Repair Install, by installing Media Creation Tool, open tool and choose to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows while keeping files, programs and most settings in place, and is also the most stable method to advance to the latest version. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

Thank you! The first part was all I needed to know. I have been nothing but polite and cooperative, the only part of my question which could be seen otherwise are the capitalization of my words. They are for effect and getting the point across, as well as my use of words in the question are nothing short of the truth of how I feel, I am not being impolite or uncooperative. Also don't tell me it's a simple general statement, I've looked through a few dozen of these questions similar and none have had that mentioned to them. I'm not here to undermine you, all I have done from the beginning is want the answer to a simple question, nothing more nothing less. I even stated in my initial question that I did NOT need tech assistance, so as much as I appreciate the 10 years of knowledge, and I would have asked for help on the tech side if I needed it, I understand passive aggressive language over the internet. My complaint is with the way the company itself is run and the with the automatic restarts not really with the tech itself, it runs fine for me at the moment. Others people/question on this site are the ones with legitimate tech issues who are not being heard. The part that frustrates me most about the situation is not the problem that I have, but with the fact that I see so many people asking the same question as me that their questions are being redirected constantly, even when the question is posed multiple times on the same thread. Along with the fact that you cannot find it anywhere on google. It is so hard to find that most people would not put the effort into finding it. Which is only in favor of the company because the less people complain, the assumingly better scores they would get with business partners and consumers. I appreciate that I am but a lowly retired end user, who uses his computer for social engagement, electronic income tax preparation and a very enjoyable hobby of photo editing, but likely not a very important customer of Microsoft.

I have put off changing from Windows 7 to Windows 10 as all of my very expensive photo editing software and  hardware turns out to be incompatible with Windows 10.

Unfortunately this year's Income Tax software will not run on Windows 7 so what to do? 

After determining there was no way of keeping my photo editing software/hardware working on my current computer, if I changed to Windows 10, but still requiring the ability use electronic tax preparation I purchased a basic laptop (memory storage, and computing power but adequate for several years of tax prep), with Windows 10, for this purpose.  Basic laptop  because as I mentioned before, I am retired and could not afford a top of the line laptop.

Today I got my first "mandatory whether you like it or not Windows update" which was very large.  The problem I have is if I get very many of these updates I will have used up all of my storage , effectively rendering my new purchase useless.  The other problem I have with this mandatory update is, on my Windows 7 machine I did  a update download (about two years ago) only to find some of my software stopped working.  Doing a web search I found this was caused by update KB3086255 , I deleted that update and prevented the reinstallation of the update, with no  affect on the computer performance.  This ability is not available on the Windows 10 version.

That's it, my concern.  I am very disappointed in Microsoft but as I said, I guess they just don't  care.

why blatantly lie to users
i was using fraps UP UNTIL THE LATEST WINDOWS 10 DEPLOYMENT

every major update windows 10 attacks all my non-windows 10 software, refuses it access
REFUSES TO RUN IT unless i bypass user lock in the REGISTRY, you know what i mean, if YOU ARE A PRO.

i want the **** to stop, or i'll get that one million dollar lawsuit going

YOU HAVE MY USER ACCOUNT, YOU KNOW WHAT MY WINDOWS KEY IS
YOU KNOW WHEN I SIGN ON TO THE NET, THE WINDOWS UPDATE STARTS CHURNING AWAY.

STOP FKING WITH MY 3rd PARTY SOFTWARE, I AM A GAME DESIGNER, AND I WILL SUE YOU FOR DAMAGES 
THE NEXT TIME ONE SINGLE **** APP BREAKS.

if i can't record and upload my programming progress for my updates on my game page

you've LITERALLY STOPPED MY REVENUE.


i'm a modder/designer who makes money online.

without the ability to show off my work, i cannot make sales.

NOW I HAVE SUE MICROSOFT, BECAUSE THEY DESTROYED MY ONLY MEDIUM WITH WHICH TO DO SO.

AKA BEEPA FRAPS, WHICH MICROSOFT HAS BEEN AFTER MALICIOUSLY SINCE THEY CAME TO BE.

i want this to stop, i don't care about microsft software, i wouldn't even use this windows if there was a better alternative.

FIX THE 3rd PARTY APP PROBLEM FOR GOOD, LIKE YOU DID IN WINDOWS 7

OR EXPECT LAWSUITS, GUYS, TRULY, **** EXPECT US.

I have been trying to close a family account since the beginning of 2019 when I upgraded to a business account.  I have been wrongfully charged 105.99 three times:

09/09/19 order# 1169538142 105.99

04/19/2019 order# 568297985076093152 105.99

04/17/2019 order# 105.99

I have wasted many hours on the phone with microsoft to have the account credited, account closed and STILL today the account is open and my subscription is extended til 2022!

my email address is conflicting from the Family to School or Work causing a ton of issues.

Each time i speak with a rep they have me remove my CC, remove the devices, and magically i get charged a week later.  

this is the most corrupt, annoying, frustrating issue.  COME ON microsoft it isn't like you lost my business, you actually gained my entire BUSINESS that is the scary part....

Sir, Please work on your regular updates we don't have much time to update regularly (if an emergency update not an issue). We all frustrated from your regular updates for it creates more issues for us eg-: some applications don't work properly even i must say do not serve the purpose. As in my PC Laptop I leave my laptop on update it downloads and does not get ready or does not give restart option (I've checked all advance settings). What is this damn **** updates.

Please fix this issues ASAP & don't give this much updates (with folding hands).
