Hi Alvin,

Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

Try the following methods and check if it helps:

Disclaimer: Please go through the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot of the Kb article to boot the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2:

I suggest you to update the Display adapters driver from the Device Manager and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

  1. Right click on Start button and click on Device Manager.
  2. Select the Graphic driver from the list by extending Display adapters.
  3. Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.

Hi,

I've tried all of the above steps.

-Perform Clean install of Windows 10.

-Update drivers

The issue still persists for some reason. I've noticed that this occurs only after the system goes to sleep or display off.

Once I restart the problem disappears.

I had the same problem with the flickering (and jumping) display after upgrading to Windows 10.  The problem seemed to occur when waking from sleep.  I have updated the drivers and installed all the updates from the Dell website.

I purchased my Dell XPS13 with the hi def touch screen from Costco so I have 90 days to return it.

For now I have rolled back to Windows 8.1, which does not have the flickering problem.

This does not, however solve the problem with some apps that will not display correctly on the hi def (3200 x 1800) screen.  An app that I frequently use is Trimble SketchUp.  The Icons are so small I can barely see them.  I understand that this is, according to Microsoft, a problem with the application and all the combined geniuses at Microsoft and Dell can not possibly fix problems with older apps that do not display correctly on hi def displays.  "How does Apple do it?", I ask.

There are at least 3 applications that I use for my business that don't display correctly.  Even Excel won't display an 8 point font or a zoom of less than 80 % on the 3200 x 1800 Dell display..  Combine that with the flickering display on Windows 10 and I am ready to go all the way back to Windows 7.  It just works!

I think I will be forced to return my computer to Costco and replace it with a standard 1080P non-touch display.  I will stay with the Dell XPS because I really like it.  But maybe, just maybe  it's time for an Apple
