Can't install itunes in windows 10

I just updated to Windows 10 and now I'm having this problem with itunes.  I've uninstalled all the components of itunes.  I keep getting the following when I try to install  microsoft.vc80.crt, type="win32", version="8.0.50727.6195", publicKeyToken= "ifc8b3b9a1e18e3b" processor architecture="amd 64".  It also won't load the mobile device.  It says starting services Apple mobile device failed to start.  Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Windows 10 has been a nightmare.  More problems with my 2 laptops since I've upgraded to Windows 10 than ever.

Not a happy camper.  Microsoft Support is useless, unless wasting time and blaming the client for their incompetence is useful to you!

I'm having the same problem. But I'm not even given an error code. I've tried installing a couple different Itunes64 setups but still get the same issues.

iTunes 12.2.1.16 for Windows:  32-bit version: iTunesSetup.exe | 64-bit: iTunes6464Setup.exe | 64-bit for your ancientvideo cardsitunes64setup.exe.

I've disabled my virus protection and tried and still the same error message (pictured below)

It boots out of the itunes install when it tries to update the apple software.

This is a brand new computer loaded with windows 10. I have not had the issue with my other computer that was upgraded to windows 10 with itunes already install.

I would appreciate any help.

I already had iTunes installed before upgrading to Windows 10 and II can still access iTunes but it will no longer detect devices, such as iphones or ipods etc. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

That's what brought me here, I can access my old iTunes but now my iPod isn't detected and I can't sync my files. I thought if I upgraded that it would fix the problem, but that failed as did my attempt to reinstall iTunes.

No, sorry I haven't found anything that works yet.

Customer service on both ends (Microsoft and Apple) are horrid.

I will keep searching and hopefully find a solution.

I did think about uninstalling iTunes and then reinstalling to see if that resolved the problem of detecting devices. I'm running the same version of iTunes I was running under windows 8 when iTunes could detect devices, so I wondered since I've upgraded to Windows 10, would it help to delete and reinstall iTunes. I know this sometimes resolves unsupported problems but I'm reluctant to try in case I find I can't reinstall iTunes at all. Its better to have it without being able to synch a device than not to have it all.

Has anyone had any success with deleting iTunes and then reinstalling to solve problems with device detection?
