USOclient.exe randomly opened

I am new to Windows 10. I started up my machine and started logging in on another forum, and randomly a black usoclient.exe windows popped up then went away. I am not sure what this was.

Does anyone know what that was?

Hi,

I realize the inconvenience you are facing. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

The usoclient.exe error may be caused by windows system files damage. The corrupted system files entries can be a real threat to the well being of your computer. I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow the below given steps:

  • Press Windows key + X, select Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
  • In Command prompt type sfc/scannow and press enter.
  • Restart the computer.

If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to try the following steps:

  • Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
  • In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

                DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

                DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

  • Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

I am sorry, but your post makes no sense.

I did sfc /scannow and it found nothing wrong.

I did the DISM scan health thing, and it found nothing.

The restore health command is currently running.

The usoclient popup yesterday corresponded with one time when Windows was looking for new Windows Updates, but on subsequent cases where Windows was looking for updates no usoclient popup came.

Does anyone know what is going on?

Could this just be a glitch from my Win 7 to 10 upgrade?

I am not sure that will do any good. I need to find out if this repeats at all. So far it has only happened only one time. I figure I should wait until it happens again until I do anything that drastic.
