Hi, I'm having a problem with my imvu. I have tried reinstalling it multiple times and nothing has worked. I went into my add and remove programs folder and noticed it said unavailable under the name of the game. It's working for my friends so i don't think the server is down. Is there anyway i can fix this?

I would suggest you to install the application in a compatibility mode and check if it helps. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

a. Download the application from the manufacturer’s website.

b. Right-click on the app setup file and click on ‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

d. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Thank you so much for answering me unfortunately it didn't work. I followed your steps and its doing the same thing. The login screen wont pop up. It only does it when i first download it but after i enter my info it goes away. Then 5 minutes later the screen pops up frozen and half loaded. When i x it out and try to pull it up again it just wont show up anymore. I went back to my add or remove programs and it still says unavailable. Im just not sure what to do.

I suggest you to perform a clean boot on your system and check if it works.

Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. Check this issue in clean boot state.

  1. Press Windows key + X key. And select Run.
  2. Type msconfig in the Run box and hit Enter.
  3. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all.
  4. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.
  5. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.
  6. Close Task Manager.
  7. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer.
