WPS on Windows 10

My router supports WPS connections (I have been able to connect to it via WPS on my tablet).

However my recently upgraded Windows 10 laptop doesn't display the option to connect via WPS.

How it should look:

The text saying you can also connect via the button is not there.

I have tried pressing it anyway and it does not work.

WPS did work when my laptop was still running Windows 7.

I have to use WPS, and WPA2 passwords are not a possibility.

Do even one of those things apply to WPS? I'm looking to do the same thing, which previously was very simple, but there are no other options even given when trying to do a wireless connection except to enter the key.

Hi,

WPS should connect directly when pressing the WPS button.

I would like to know;

  1. Do you see the router listed in the networks?
  2. What happens when you chooses the router from the list of available networks?
  3. Does it prompt for a password?

Please reply with these information to understand the issue and help you better. We will be happy to assist you further.

I had this problem and no one on the internet seems to have an answer. It should say that you can use your WPS but I see that it doesn't.  However, I was able to fix this problem by signing into my Microsoft account on my computer to enable Wi-Fi Sense, after I did that it let me use WPS.

All you have to do is sign into your computer with your Microsoft account.

Its been a few months so I'm sure you don't need help anymore, but for anyone who just got a nice new laptop this Christmas, here you go.

NOT helpful and didn't work. Not even with WiFi sense.

The easiest solution, which seems pretty obvious - put the WPS option BACK! Instead of tech dictating end user requirements or how to work around the issue requiring a high level certification in MSE

Hi

I created a microsoft account and logged into the account, enabled WIFI Sense and tried to connect to my secured network by pressing the WPS button but got the following message "Windows can't get settings automatically". Would you know what can be wrong?

Thanks,
