Is there any way to stop Windows 10 from scanning for WiFi networks in the background?

It's not exactly a big issue, but this has been a thorn under my skin. Whenever i play an online game, i will be experiencing ping spikes every minute (60 seconds). I found out that the reason is, Windows is refreshing / searching for available WiFi network every minute.

I tried disabling WLan AutoConfig to no avail. I wont be able to connect to any WiFi networks at all. Tried all suggested helps that I can find on the Internet to no avail. Would be great if there's a solution here somewhere.

Note: All my drivers are up to date.

Any help concerning this would be great. Cheers!

Edit: Same symptoms on my Laptop. I have no problems with WiFi connections before on the same machines on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
