Edge will not connect to internet

Chrome works fine as does Internet explorer but Edge will not connect to the internet though I can connect to the router and change setings. If I disconnect the internet from the computer it reacts stating disconnected but otherwise it is just H'mmm we cannot find this page. I have fiddled with the DNS, the private/public settings, the registry and everything else, the firewalls, stopped virus and malware software - still nothing . It had been working and I lioke it but one day stopped working.
