The Google Chrome is not working in my Windows 10 computer.

<Original Title: Google Chrome>

I've been having problems with google chrome where as of late when ever i try or run it, it says

C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see that application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

I may sound stupid asking this but what does it mean? and a follow up question, how do i fix it? its not the end of the world but it makes things a whole lot more easy
