Dell SonicWall Global VPN Client Does not work in Windows 10

There is no download for the SonicWall Global VPN Client for Windows 10, I contacted Dell support that they state it is only supported up to Windows 8.  I downloaded the Windows 8 version and tried it but it gets stuck always "authenticating" so users cannot log into their office computer or access other systems remotely.  This is a new laptop that comes with a free upgrade to Windows 10.

Yes! This was my problem as well. Everything working fine with latest Global VPN client. Then after Fall update the client stopped working with the "The peer is not responding to phase 1 ISAKMP requests." message. Setting the option "Restrict the size of the first ISAKMP packet sent" solved the issue immediately!

Had the same issue...new Windows 10 machine Global VPN was stuck on connecting. Uninstalled and downloaded the latest client 4.9.22, still didn't work. Noticed there was an error in the log "The peer is not responding to phase 1 ISAKMP requests." Clicked on the VPN properties and checked the box for

“Restrict the size of the first ISAKMP packet sent.”  Issue fixed, now the machine is prompted for Username/Password as normal.

I'm using the 4.9.9 client for Windows 10. The primary issue with it is that RDP won't work over the connection unless DHCP is enabled on the connection (set on the firewall itself) which is a giant pain if you want to use split tunnels to multiple SonicWalls.

Correct, that was the resolution of my problem! I had the same problem with upgrading from Win7 to 10 and then RDP did not work any longer via Global VPN Client (4.9.9.1016).

Within the SonicWall TZ-205 (on SOS Enhanced 5.8.1.15-48o)  "VPN / VPN Policies / WAN GroupVPN / Client / Client Connections / Virtual Adapter settings" I had to change the setting from "None" to "DHCP Lease" and it worked! Interestingly the NONE worked properly with Win7.

Problem solved :-) Thank you!

I have an ASUS M51AC.  Just upgraded tol WIN 10 PRO.   Installed the latest version of Sonicwal VPN Client (4.99) 64 BIT version.   All seemed to work and it connected BUT within seconds of it finishing it would REBOOT the PC.    Very annoying.

I have a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10.  I've tried installing both the 4.9.9 client as well as the SonicWall Connect from the Windows Store.  Neither will connect to the VPN.  Access to my company's VPN uses Safenet to generate a one-time password as I use it when I connect with my company-supplied laptop.  Neither of the clients I installed prompt for a username and password which is needed to connect.  The SonicWall Connect uses the Windows 10 VPN facility and when I try to connect it returns with a "Port already in use" error.  Anybody have any ideas on how to get this to work?
