I recently reset my wifi which was connected to my computer through an Ethernet cord. Before I reset it the internet worked fine on my desktop but now I get error 651 "The modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error. But I still have wifi,
so I would assume my computer is the problem. My computer doesn't have wifi it needs an Ethernet cord. I have windows 10, please help!

Hi thank for replying but unfortunately neither of the two solutions seemed to work. But I was able to identify the problem. When I started up the windows network diagnostics, it states that the troubleshoot is unable to automatically fix all of the issues
found. The problem found is that "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration" which assuming means my computer has no IP address. Is there anyway to fix this?!?!
