Airplane mode won't turn off?

I'm using a refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad T430s with Windows 10. It was working fine, but a couple of days ago, it randomly switched to airplane mode, and when I attempted to turn it off, I got a menu box reading 'turn wifi on' with an options box that doesn't actually work. What do I do? I tried the following:

Toggle the Wi-Fi switch. Doesn't work.

Press fn-f2 and fn-prtscrn. Doesn't work.

Block IPv6. Doesn't work.

Ran troubleshooter. Only got an unhelpful message telling me to use the switch to turn it on.

Network reset. Nothing changed.

Toggle Wi-Fi from the menu. The switch goes right back to the off setting.

Change channel width settings. Still nothing.

What do I do? I'm at my wits end here.

Picture of the box:

Can you change the dropdown menu in picture from Manually to Automatically? What are the choices?

The options are manually, in 1 hour, in 4 hours, and in 1 day. I should note I selected these options and none of them did what they were supposed to after I waited the appropriate times for them.

I tried all of these and none of them worked. I can't search for driver updates because it won't allow me to go online for whatever reason. I've managed to kill ransomware before it could get the chance to run and ran into some crazy glitches i was able to fix on my own and yet this simple glitch stumps me.

I suspect a recent Windows Update might have done this. Press Windows key + R Type: appwiz.cpl Hit Enter Click View installed updates Select the recent update Right click it then click uninstall. Try uninstalling the update to see if it restores functionality. Press Windows key + R Type: appwiz.cpl Hit Enter Open View Installed Updates Right click the recently installed updates since this started happening Click uninstall Restart your computer then check if you are able to turn it off.

The Lenovo Support site for you model is here: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-t-series-laptops/thinkpad-t430s?linkTrack=Homepage%3ABody_Search+Products&searchType=3&keyWordSearch=T430s%2520Laptop%2520%2528ThinkPad%2529 It appears the function key for wireless is listed as F5: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-t-series-laptops/thinkpad-t430s/solutions/HT002061 There is a 2016 Intel Wireless driver update to compare with the installed one in Dev Mgr. I'd also update the Chipset and Intel Mgmt Engine from 2017, and compare the lateste 2017 BIOS Update with the one you have installed. Remember if you update BIOS to follow the ReadMe file included to the letter as this cannot be allowed to lose power or fail. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I'll keep working with you until this is resolved.

I just checked. The recentmost update I've had for this laptop was the 29th of September and the issue started on October 4, so it might be something else.

Opened registry editor and noticed RadioEnable was already at 0. But while I'm at it, I wanna run this past you guys to see if there are any variables I should change. Something tells me NetDetectEnable could be the culprit, but I'm not the most savvy person so I could be wrong. Thoughts?

Doesn't hurt to try, since the update can be easily reinstalled.
