Comcast X3 platform. Cisco DCP3941T modem/router

Used to be able to get on with no problem but in the last month can only get on sometimes when I hard boot the modem and even then not always and when I do get on the connection times out after a couple of minutes,

Comcast doesn't have a clue. When I do a google search many others have same problem and yet no real solutions.

error message is "this site can't be reached 10.0.0.1 took too long to respond" Doesn't matter how addressed Https:, Http: or just 10.0.0.1

Yes have connection to internet, strong connection hard wired and 150+ Mbps

Any help is appreciated. Maybe it is strictly a Comcast issue??

I don't think this is a windows problem, never mind

first make sure that the address has not changed

right click on start and select command prompt (admin)

type ipconfig and press enter

make a note of the default gateway

type ping 10.0.0.1 and press enter

let us know the response

try accessing it using internet explorer rather than Edge

click start type internet internet explorer should be at the top of the list

in the address bar enter http://10.0.0.1

default username is admin

default password is password

If I do a hard reset to the Comcast Cisco modem I can log in once. Then I am locked out until I do a reset again.

this is a problem with the router.

general feeling seems to be that it is a bug in the router firmware

eg - http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Home-Networking-Router-WiFi/Unable-to-connect-to-http-10-0-0-1/m-p/2671175#M98899

although you said you have already spoken with Comcast, try having a chat https://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/?cmp= see if there is (or likely to be soon) a firmware update for the DCP3941T.

sorry I couldn't help
