Win 10 Blue screen after boot (clipsp.sys error)

hello,

i have already installed win 10 pro (i also tested insider preview for months...) and it works fine, but sometimes after the boot, i insert my user PIN to Log In and just after few seconds in desktop screen the PC crashes...with a blue screen with "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" error caused by clipsp.sys

this happens random, once every ten reboot or something...any idea of the reason?

thanks to all.

this is the complete report

It may help to look at the minidump files from the blue screen crashes.

Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site?

Here's a couple of links on using OneDrive (SkyDrive):

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/skydrive/add-photos-files-faq

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/onedrive/share-file-folder

If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop

Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time

The minidump files showed several different stop errors such as PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP.

Many of the errors referenced the clipsp.sys which is a component of Windows.

However many of the errors show possible involvement of Avast drivers, aswSP.sys and aswSnx.sys.

I would suggest to uninstall, at least temporarily Avast, and use Windows built-in antivirus (Windows Defender) and firewall and see if the errors resolve.

well...

after some days of use nothing changed...i still have many blue screen Always clipsp.sys

new display driver installed few days ago (Nvidia 355.82...) but still get blue screen

i think problem is my WiFi USB adapter (Netgear WNA 3100...) and the Windows 10 shut down/reboot management...

i mean that if i just "shut down" the system and than power on again i have no issues...if i "reboot" i'll probably get blue screen...and it's strange to notice that i can see the blu LED of the WiFi adapter still on after shut down

so i'm trying something new for some days, i deactivated the wifi adapter (right click from device manager...) BEFORE shut down, and activated again after power on...

at the moment all works...no more blue screen in the last two days....this is quite annoying of course, but maybe can help someone else or help Microsoft to solve this issue.

i will update if this fail too and i get blue screen

well

hope this will be the last post...

after 2 billion attemps all seems to works fine...

was not the WiFi Adapter or the video drivers...

i deactivated the Windows defender (by registry key...) and at the moment i have no antivirus...but all works...

even if i reboot no more blue screen...

i cannot understand why...but the problem seems to be in Windows defender.

hope this will help

thanks to all.

really strange, but i confirm...all now works fine...maybe with threshold 2 this wil be fixed...i disabled by registry using this strings:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender]
“DisableAntiSpyware”=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Real-Time Protection]
“DisableBehaviorMonitoring”=dword:00000001
“DisableOnAccessProtection”=dword:00000001
 DisableScanOnRealtimeEnable”=dword:00000001

well in the end the solution was hardware!

i mean after EVERY kind of attempt, i've decided to replace the CPU+the Motherboard+RAM

and that's it...

i didn't do a clean installation, i have just replaced the components and everithing solved!

so i think it was a ram problem, a kind of instability that gave me that strange problem...

now Windows defender and Avast works fine (not contemporary installed of course...i mean one by one)

and i also solved the Google chrome frequent crashes

i have never had again a blue screen...i canno't know if was the Motherboard or the Corsair Vengance memory or both...but for sure was an hardware problem

now everithing works fine with the same Win 10, without a clean installation...
