Video Capture Start Failed error messgae

Hey there,

I use my webcam weekly with no problem recording video or audio. I haven't made any changes to my computer lately (haven't updated or reset any device drivers, disabled any devices, etc), yet today when I opened my webcam, it would not record. I am still able to take pictures with it just fine, but when I click the video record button, an error message pops up with the code 0xA00F425D<VideoCaptureStartFailed> (0x80131500). I've tried to find an answer by searching everything I can think of, but nothing has solved this issue yet. Please help!

I have tried to plug my camera to the USB port at front of the CPU. First I was trying to connect using a hub but that creates error and connecting it directly to the 2.0 port makes it work perfectly.

Thereis some signal interference in low quality USB Hub or indirect usb connections i.e. via USB support LEDs and Keyboards.

Preferable to directly connect it and do care of the USB type i.e. 2.0 to 2.0 and 3.0 to 3.0
