@BB-19 and
RICHARD LEONTE Jr - please do not format
your disks.
You will lose all your data if you format it.
Please help us gather additional information about the disk and partitions so we can troubleshoot it more.
BB-19 - I will contact you on reddit PM.
Richard, I will ask someone to get in touch with you.
Please bear with us while we work this out.
Mahesh
I'd appreciate some help too.
Several external usb hard drives. The one mainly tested is an NTFS-formatted portable USB hard drive, Seagate branded.
On two completely different machines both running Windows 10 1607 (anniversary update) the usb drive: appears as RAW in diskmgmt.msc; is inaccessible through through explorer; can't CD into the drive in CMD; chkdsk tells me the drive is NTFS formatted, there's
~46000 files on it, and there are no errors (including no bad clustors).
When I plug the same drive into my Ubuntu 16.0.1 PC, it mounts fine, is detected as NTFS, and I can access all the files.
