TOUCHPAD NOT WORKING AFTER UPGRADING FROM WINDOWS 7 TO WINDOWS 10

What is the status of touch pad driver in Device Manager? Press Windows logo key + X, select Device Manager. Spot and expand the “Mice and other pointing devices ”.

From the description, I suspect that the problem might be with the unavailable or incompatible touchpad drivers. Suggest you to check and install the latest Windows 10 touchpad drivers for your device from device Manufacturer website. You can search them using your device model number. Go here to download the drivers for your device.

Also check and confirm that your device is up to date with Windows Updates. Go to Start Button/>Settings/>Update & Security/> Windows Update and click Check the updates. If you find any driver updates for your device, then try to install them and see if they make any difference.

I didnt find the touchpad option in “Mice and other pointing devices ”, i can only see my external mouse. below is the screen shot. no windows update is also available.

Yes, there is no touchpad driver installed on your device. As I suggested did you check the driver on device Manufacturer website? If not, go here to download the drivers for your device and see if they sort out the issue.

I tried every possible steps but still its not working. do i need to visit the Dell Support Center.
