Problem with Blue Yeti Microphone after recent update from Windows 10

So after a recent update to Windows 10 on either 5/14/18 or 5/15/18, my microphone as ceased to function. I have spent around 5 hours in my free time trying to get it to work with other programs. I have a Blue Yeti Microphone and it was working perfectly fine before the windows update. I know the microphone is still working by itself because I have listened to it and heard my own voice very clearly. Now my the sounds tab acknowledges that it knows that the mic is there, but the bars that indicate detected sound do not light up green. All of my applications that use the mic can see that the mic is plugged in but audio will not transmit to the application. I have removed the device and plugged it back in, checked for the most recent drivers, and used the troubleshooter. None of these seem to fix it. I have tried this with my webcam mic and it is having the same problem. At this point, I am led to believe that one of two things is happening. Either both of the mics lost compatibility on the same windows update or the windows update brought along something that is interfering with the transmission of the physical audio to the applications. I would really appreciate the help and could provide screenshots of what happens if need be. Please help!

Answer
Hey Michael,

Yeah, this has been an issue since 1803. Try the following:

Hit Windows key + I, go into Privacy. On the left pane, click Microphone.

Be sure that Allow apps to access your microphone is on, and the apps in the list under Choose which apps can access your microphone are checked on.

Let me know how it goes.
