Olympus p-400 not working

I have an old printer and its called the Olympus p-400. I am trying to get it to to work on my windows 10 pc. i am using it through usb....I have tried to install the drivers on multiple sites and it did not work. I have also tried compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 2 and it still did not work. any help

  • Are you getting any error messages?
  • Can your computer detect your printer?
  • Were you able to use it on Windows 10 properly before?
  • Have you tried connecting it to a different computer? If not, kindly try to connect it to a different computer, then check if the issue persists.

That printer actually predates XP, I think. There's practically no chance that you're going to get it to work.

I have tried this printer on another pc.... the pc I tried it on had a windows 7 os. when I clicked the compatibility mode for the driver update there were more versions in the compatibility mode.... I chose windows 2000.... when I got to the install screen everything loaded and the printer worked I was so happy that it actually still works.......my main question right now is how to get the windows 2000 compatibility mode for my windows 10 pc.....thanks :)

The absence of Windows 2000 compatibility mode in Windows 10 is telling you what you need to know.  It's not going to work.

But i tried windows 2000 compatibility mode on a windows 7 pc and it worked

Windows 7 is not Windows 10.  It's not going to work.
