thank you very much for such a quick reply, I haven't made and changes to the sound setting except from 2ch to 5.1 dts. I just tried what you had said and still no luck, with the Microsoft driver i always have 2ch working but the 5.1 option in advance setting under default settings has vanished, if i install the lasted drivers from asus website it come back and 2ch sound works fine but 5.1 DTS I still get nothing.
Ive done alot of googling and it seams alot of people are having the same problem where there had windows 7 or 8.1 and upgrade to windows 10 there get the same problem as me no sound in 5.1 dts through s/pdif but 2ch works fine one guy did a clean install off windows 10 and still no sound he went back to windows 8.1 and 5.1 DTS work perfectly the more i read people are saying this is a Microsoft bug and not the sound driver

DTS is currently broken in Windows 10. The workaround is to use the windows 8 player with FLV codecs for acceleration or VLC.
The Movies and TV app is incredible and plays video with 0 stuttering, but the audio doesn't work 80% of the time on HD files, since they usually use DTS.
WMP is the best option if you need hw acceleration, since VLC support is still poor.
Anyway, I too hope that Microsoft acknowledges this issue and fixes it soon. It's just like the DVD days when Microsoft killed it's media player by not including free decoding drivers and forcing us to use options like VLC in the first place.
