IRDA support in Windows 10

I have seen multiple threads about IRDA support missing from Windows 10.  It has been in every version of Windows until now, and was apparently in the pre-release for windows 10, but not in the production version (IRDA stack was stripped out).

THE ONLY reason I bought Windows 10 was to support a dive computer that has IRDA interface.  Much to my surprise, it won't work!!!

SO - I have tried to email this question to Microsoft.  When is the last time anyone tried to get support from Microsoft?  My god, I almost committed suicide due to the experience.  The absolute worst call centers on the planet.  And nobody can tell me how to email a support question.  Absolutely unbelievable.  I think Satan himself must own Microsoft and the support process is intended to cause despair and death.

SO MICROSOFT - PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION.  WHEN WILL YOU SUPPORT IRDA ON WINDOWS 10?  And if you will not be supporting it, how can I change my Windows 10 purchase to Windows 8?  I so regret spending money on windows 10.

Suvama - you did not answer either of my two questions (which seems typical of all Microsoft support responses)

1.  WHEN will you have IRDA support on Windows 10.  I know there is no support today.  Is it on the roadmap or will it never come?

2.  How can I exchange my Windows 10 purchase for Windows 8?  Since Windows 10 basically doesn't work for my application.  It is incompatible.

I would like every Microsoft customer to note - the company will not respond to this question about the IRDA stack.  They are ignoring their customers.  This is horrible customer service and demonstrates a complete lack of regard.  I have also filed a Windows Feedback as per Suvarna's suggestion - it too was ignored.

This is completely unacceptable behavior. GO MAC.  Microsoft deserves to lose customers.

IRDA support is in the current insiders releases. They were re-introduced in the "redstone" series sometime late January.

I have not tried them myself yet, but have read numerous reports that it works well. The "redstone" series is the next major update of Windows 10. There is no known general release date right now. If you'd like to have the support (and deal with any potential issues in the redstone series) you can opt into the windows insiders program and chose the fast ring.

I cannot understand why Microsoft has steadfastly refused to answer this question - posed by many people.
