DVD/CD ROM drive not working since upgrading to Windows 10

I have a Toshiba all-in-one DX1210 and have just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7.

The DVD/CD ROM Drive (HL-DT-ST BD-RE BT11F) was working before the upgrade.

I checked device manager and found this error message: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

I uninstalled the driver and restarted the PC. Windows re-installed the driver but it had the same error message.

I then backed up the registry and following instructions I found on this forum I deleted the UpperFilters and LowerFilters.

I restarted the PC but the Code 19 error remains.

I would greatly appreciate any help before I decide to rollback to Windows 7.

Hi,

A lot of Toshiba machines have problems with Toshiba's Recovery Disk Creator and Recovery Media Creator..

They need to be uninstalled... They probably no longer even work...
