Bluetooth mouse paired, connected but not works in Windows 10

On Windows 10 desktop, and Lenovo Win10 laptop, "Settings" shows a Bluetooth mouse as paired and connected, but mouse not works.
Install and reinstall of the mouse and Bluetooth drivers does not help.

On another Windows 10 PC this mouse works without problem.
Any ideas, dear Community?

OK this is how I fixed my problem in Windows 10 Boot Camp on MacBook Pro 2016. Apple Magic Mouse recognized, paired but kept disconnecting almost immediately if it connected at all. The problem was related to the Power Management under Bluetooth Radio, Properties in Device Manager. I had to uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'.  This has worked for me I'm relieved to say :)

THANK YOU!!! RPB47 :-)

Brand new Modern Mouse. paired, even showed battery status -- but the mouse pointer never moved.  Unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on the Bluetooth Radio device... that didn't fix it immediately, but I rebooted and the mouse was finally working. Thanks again!!!

Hi Andrew,

To address your concern about your Bluetooth Mouse device not working on Windows 10, you can refer to the article entitled, "My Bluetooth device shows as Paired, but it isn't working. How do I fix this?" found on this link.

Let us know the result.

Regards.
With respect, referring to another page advising us to disconnect and reconnect the mouse is pretty poor.

Same Bluetooth Problem with Razer Blade 15 & Logitech G603 Mouse and G613 Keyboard. Everytime it hibernates or shuts down, I have to reconnect the Bluetooth devices because they show as paired but not connected, which is wasting so much time and nerves...

If you just got a new Lenovo, make sure you update both the bluetooth and the wireless drivers through the intel website.  boom.  working.

I had same issue.  Mouse paired via bluetooth, but not showing up as mouse.  I have a button on my laptop to turn on "airplane" mode, which disables all radios.  I pressed that button and saw in device manager all bluetooth devices disappeared.  Then I pressed it again and they all came back, except this time the mouse started working and showed up in device manager as a mouse.  Working (for) now.

After a clean reboot and after removing and adding the mouse, it is again functional and recognized as a mouse and not listed in other device.

Solution that work for me:

1. Perform a clean reboot "disable all non Microsoft services" in msconfig

2. Reboot

3. Remove the Bluetooth mouse

4. Add the Bluetooth mouse (the mouse should work at this step)

5. Try to reboot again with all services enabled in msconfig

Hello,

I do have the same issue from about 3 days (Dell XPS 9560, Win 10):

2 Logitech devices: 1 Mouse M535, 1 Keyboard K380

1 Bose QC 35 headphones

These appeared as Paired under Bluetooth but...not working at all.

I've tried:

- turn on/off Bluetooth, remove/add devices again - same result

- remove the devices from Device Manager - same result

- do a clean boot as per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows same result

What makes me crazy:

- remove devices from Bluetooth (Bluetooth=On)

- try to add the devices again and pair - the Mouse stays stuck in Pairing mode - LED blinking fast, etc

- turn Off, turn On Bluetooth - the devices are added Automatically back including Logitech Bluetooth SDP Server - ?!

- the devices re-appears as Paired but are not working of course

Important:

- Services - Bluetooth Support Service is set to Manual

- Device Manager - Bluetooth - I have no entry for Bluetooth Radio (?!) neither Service Discovery

What next?

I have the same exact problem as CatalinEnache.

Tried to remove the Bluetooth mouse in "Settings - Bluetooth and other devices" but upon switching off and on the bluetooth, the mouse automatically gets added and listed as paired, even when the mouse is not switched on.

When I switch the mouse on, it never gets connected to enable me to use it properly.

Seems like this has been a long due problem as I search from google revealed a lot of instances with no clear solution.

Microsoft, any solution yet?

This worked for me:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/bluetooth-device-automatically-reinstalls-and-does/a1e80c0b-4cfb-4b2f-9c7d-f213438e01ec?auth=1

I had to clean the registry for each of the Bluetooth paired device.

It took me around 1h.

Good luck!
