AMD Switchable Graphics not Working after Upgrading to Windows 10

Hello, so after upgrading to windows 10 I ran into this annoying problem...

switchable graphics doesn't appear in the context menu or the catalyst control center...

I installed drivers from windows update (not working)

also installed drivers from amd's official website (no good either)

and the device manager identifies the GPU as AMD 7400M Series

and more over, I'm stuck with the intel GPU and can't use AMD in almost everything !!!!!

My Specefications:

HP Pavilion G6 1066se

intel i5 2nd generation processor

4GB RAM

AMD Radeon HD 7450m

intel HD 3000

windows 10 64 bit

what is going wrong ?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Did you see if the settings are working fine in safe mode?

If not please go to the safe mode and see if you can make the necessary changes.

a. Click on Windows key, and in the Power Options click on Restart while pressing the shift key.
b. A blue screen will appear with a few options.
Click on Troubleshoot > Advanced Settings > Startup Settings > Restart.
c. Your system will automatically restart, press 4 or F4 key to go to the Safe Mode.

This will help us identify if its a hardware issue or a software.

Please reply with the results. Awaiting your response.

Regards

Jesinta Rozario

Did so and this happened when I tried to open Catalyst Control Center and the GPU is still identified as AMD HD Radeon 7400M Series and the monitor appears to be not identified or something

Same error with me. just disappeared the fuction of switchable graphics, and intel HD Graphics is the one activated.

PC SPECS:
HP Pavilion DV6-6060ep
Intel Core i7 2630QM 2.00GHZ
6GB RAM

DUAL GPU:

AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1GB (Now appears on CCC 6700M)

     Intel Graphics HD 3000

Please microsoft....need to launch a fix for that. I think windows update made the update with diferent drivers (one update for amd and another to intel) but that's is wrong for switchable graphics.......needs to be a update all-in-one, that update both graphics driver.

Are you going to answer this? I have the same issue while having switchable graphics on a VAIO laptop. I downloaded the latest drivers but nothing seems to work. A screenshot is attached for your reference.
