Mouse cursor moves around when typing on Windows 10.

Original Title: bouncing text while typing

I see that this is not a unique problem. I have a new Toshiba laptop with windows 10 . My cursor jumps around without cause also, throwing my text while typing wherever it was last paused. I have tried checking the wireless mouse to no avail. It is so frustrating. Any help out there? thanks!!

I had that problem on my Toshiba Satellite S55t-B5282 laptop.  It drove me crazy for a week of trying updates etc.  I finally discover THE REAL CAUSE AND REAL solution.  When I upgraded to Windows 10,  it recognized my Mouse as being "P2 Connected".   My PC didn't even have a PS2 connector, so that was the hint.   I changed the Mouse setting to "USB connected" and the problem instantly went away completely.

It is pretty brain dead that Microsoft would choose PS2 over USB when it had no way to know what to choose during a Windows 10 upgrade.   Very few PCs with PS2 connectors will ever upgrade to Windows 10.

Hi,

I had the same problem in Windows 10 and it was driving me crazy. Try this: go to control panel then  hardware and sound then   mouse  then "pointer options" tab  & then select "hide pointer while typing".

So far that has solved the problem for me...hope it works for you b/c I know it was VERY annoying !

cheers.
