Microsoft: LifeCam VX-1000 Problems in Windows 10

Why won't my computer (windows 10) detect that my LifeCam VX-1000 is connected, and why did Microsoft say in the drivers page for the device that windows 8 and beyond does't need a driver for the LifeCam VX-1000 when on my computer it said it doesn't work??
Did you go to Device Manager and check.
