liteon iHOS104

I have a liteon iHOS104 bluray player in my system but windows 10 doesn't see it, it is shown in the bios as ATAPI iHOS104 so the system can see it but windows doesn't.  is this drive just not compatible with windows 10?

I have looked online for drivers/firmware, the firmware updater just tells me no bd brive is connected, so I'm assuming this is windows being a pain???

melli.

Hi,

Does the drive show up in Device Manager... maybe even under "Other Devices"...

This is actually a fairly common problem ever since Win 8...

The problem is most likely NOT the drive, or even it's drivers...

I had the same problem by upgrading to Windows 10.

The iHOS104 was recognised by the Bios!   However i saw NO dvd/cd-rom at all in the  HW-list.

I used a simple old truc which worked very well.

1. Run Command Prompt as an  Administrator. Type cmd in Windows 10 searcher.

2. Type following and say enter

reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

3. Reboot the system.

Now you will see your ATAPI iHOS104.
