invalid mdl range

Invalid mdl range when using Bluetooth PAN on phone. It used to work fine. I think upgrading to win 10 has caused a driver problem.

It causes a blue screen of death.

Anyone else have the same issue ?

I have the latest drivers. It does not solve the problem.

I can join a personal area network and it does work for a very short time, but within a minute it fails with the stop code. I think the driver Should fail safe. Its badly written. Clearly something has changed with the driver as it has been working fine for years.

Hi,

What was the previous operating system that you were using before upgrading to Windows 10? Also, if the driver is causing the issue, it will be best to contact your device manufacturer.

Please advise as necessary.

HP Envy dv7 notebook came with win 7 but then upgraded to win 8 then to win 10.

The problem appeared after upgrade to win 10.

Sadly, the capture would not start.

But without an appropriate error message, one can not determine the reason.

I get the same error message, when I try to use my smartphones internet connection by a bluetooth connection on my laptop, after trying to establish the bluetooth connection, I get asked weather it is a private or a public network, either answer (Yes/No) results in a blue screen with the error message invalid_mdl_range...

This issue may have been caused by an outdated driver. To help you with your concern, kindly boot your computer in Safe mode. Safe mode starts Windows in a limited state, where only the bare essentials are started. Check if you will encounter the same issue while in Safe mode. For instructions, you may refer to this article. You can choose whether to boot your computer from Settings or from the sign-in screen.
