Bluetooth keyboard keeps going to sleep after 10 sec

Hey guys,

I've encountered a really annoying problem with my bluetooth keyboard on windows 10... As I stop using the keyboard for 10-15 secs it automatically goes to sleep and I have to press a few buttons untill it wakes up again -.- I've also searched through many forums for a solution and nothing worked for me. I tried configuring the bluetooth power management in device manager but guess what there was no power management tab! I even tried to enable wake options through command prompt using administrator rights and it just said that I am not allowed to. So I am losing my mind here don't know what to do any suggestion/solution is welcome. Thank you for your replies in advance :)

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

I suggest you to update the latest Bluetooth drivers from the manufactures website for Windows 10 drivers. If the driver is not compatible for Windows 10, then you can install the software in compatibility mode from previous version of Windows and check if it helps.

Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows

Method 2 worked great for me. However, my Bluetooth keyboard did not come with a driver. Windows 10 was using a standard HID type Bluetooth driver. The power settings were actually in the HID properties and not the keyboard properties.
