Arc Touch Bluetooth Mouse won't pair (Windows 10)

Hello,

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 15 7559 tonight and bought a Microsoft Arc Touch Bluetooth mouse to go with it.

When I go to the Bluetooth control screen in Windows 10, I see the arc mouse appear there for about 3 seconds, then it disappears. The mouse is still in pairing mode, so not sure what's happening. If I manage to click the mouse before the icon disappears, it says it is not able to connect.

I know the Bluetooth on the computer is working as I connected my Oneplus Two to it.

I know the mouse is working as I connected it to my Oneplus Two and can use it successfully.

I'm just not sure why the mouse won't connect to the computer.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

The mouse won't connect to the computer. I do not see it in the device driver, and the hardware troubleshooter just tells me to restart the computer - which I've done numerous times.

EDIT: I just got a second of the same mouse. Same issue. The computer sees both mice for about 5 seconds once I turn on bluetooth, and then they both disappear.

I have similar problem also with Dell Inspiron mouse connects and disconnects again and another instance of the mouse is queueing to pair but it fails too. now it is coming up with two devices the arc touch BT mouse and an unknown device. if the mouse is turned off they both go away!

The hardware trouble shooter just says that the update is not configured for drivers to be updated and wants to restart but it just gives the same answer every time it is run so not sure what it is doing!

Shame cant charge by the hour wasted.

So it turns out the bluetooth receiver driver on a brand new computer was already out of date. I updated the bluetooth driver and it connected to the mouse.

Had the same Issue in a Dell Inspiron Win10

Solution:

a) Press Windows key + X, select device manager

b) Locate The Bluetooth, expand this (In my case it was the Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R))

c) Right Click, select update driver.

d) Wait for the update and restart you computer

e) Try Pairing it again.

I'm having the same issue (Dell with Windows 10, Dell BT Mouse).  System finds mouse but won't pair.  Dell wireless 365 bluetooth module and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator are both updated to 'best' driver. Hardware troubleshooter did not find any issues.

Hello,

I suggest you to install the Bluetooth driver from the manufacturer’s website.

You can logon to the manufacturer website and install the latest drivers in compatible mode.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps:

a. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.

b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select previous operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Keep us posted if you face any issues on windows in future. We will be glad to help you.

This solved my problem as well. After trying multiple times to get it to pair, updated the driver and it paired the first time.

Tried all of these things and nothing works for me. Updated drivers and disabled antivirus software. Restarted and even went as far as uninstalling with arc mouse app. Re-installed the app and no luck. It doesn't pick it up in any capacity in my case. Very frustrating.
