Windows 10 Update won't let me save photos as .jpg

Ever since the most recent Windows 10 update my computer won't let me save in the .jpg format. It will only save as .png or .bmp.

I tried clearing the cache as suggested in other similar questions but that did not fix the problem

Which application are you using? Have you tried doing it from within the Microsoft Paint app?


Open Windows Defender Security Center
Click Virus & threat protection
Click Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access
Toggle it off

Also in Windows Defender Security Center

Open App & browser control
Set 'Check apps & files' to off
