when you upgrade to a new build, windows stores the old version for a short while to allow you to roll back if you experience serious issues.
if your only issue is that you are short of space, it is safe to delete the old version.
you can run disk clean-up to remove temporary and junk files.
click start, type disk clean-up
select c drive
select items from the list
and click ok
run disk clean-up again
click the clean-p system files button
select from the list, include previous windows installations and click ok
