Opening an .mdi file

I just got a new computer, after my old one crashed.  It has Windows 10 and Office 2010 Professional.  I am unable to open any .mdi files.  I searched the internet  and found out this file type is no longer supported.  Also saw a suggestion to custom load an older version of Office, loading only  the needed module.  I had copies of both 2003 and 2007 MS Office however  I cleaned out all my old software after receiving my new computer.  I would appreciate any suggestions on how to open these documents.  Thank you,

Answer

Before installing right click on file MDI2TIFConverter and open Properties choose

Compatibility tab and check  Run this program in compatibility mode for and

choose Windows 7.

After installation it is in folder C:\Program Files (x86)\modiconv\

Open command prompt as administrator (right click on Start) and navigate to that folder,

type cd c:\Program Files (x86)\modiconv\

and type mdi2tif /help

as you can see on screenshot
