MSVCP140.dll is missing in my Win 10 even though I have installed it and placed it in sys32 and syswow64

Hi I recently did a clean up on my pc and deleted some files by accident. I receive this error 'cannot find mscvp140.dll. Please reinstall this application' when trying to play PUBG. Other games run fine but PUBG wont boot because of this. I have tried loads of different solutions like downloading the file and placing it in syswow & system 32. I also deleted steam and all apps and reinstalled, nothing worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Cazcazz,

It looks like the MSVCP140.dll belongs to the C++ Redistributable runtime library. I would suggest that you download all the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio and install it on your computer. You will need to install both x86 and x64 installers. You can check this link for the latest supported Visual C++ downloads.
