File Explorer wont work after latest Windows 10 March 14 update

Just installed Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4013429)

Now File Explorer will not work.  It closes down by itself and I cannot access any of my files.

OMG I HATE UPDATES.

Ever since Windows 3 there are so many problems after updates.

Has anyone else got this problem?  Can anyone point me to a fix??

Thanks.

Hello Antonio,

You might be facing this issue due to corrupted system files. SFC and DISM scan can help you repair those corrupted files.

Here's a Wiki article that was posted by ZigZag to help you on how to perform SFC and DISM scan.

We will wait for your response.

Regards.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thank you for your time and helpful suggestion.

My File Explorer started to work again for no apparent reason.

I think what I did was try to access my files via the Windows button,

and like some forgotten connection or route was suddenly remembered,

it seemed to function OK again.

I haven't re-booted the PC yet as I am nervous of losing functionality,

but I am hopeful it will be OK tomorrow morning, and that I won't be back here again

moaning about the 1000 glitches of Windows :-)

Thank You.
