File explorer slow to load after 1709 Win 10 update

Immediately after updating the file explorer takes forever to load and says "working on it". Up until this point, it used to be instantaneous. Anybody have any idea what is going on?

Open Folder Options > Set "Open File Explorer" to "This PC". Try WinKey + E now. If it opens fine, then problem is with Quick access cache, which can be cleared by deleting *.automaticDestinations-ms from the following directory, using Command Prompt.

%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

Press Windows key + R
Type: %AppData%
Hit Enter

The navigate to that folder.
