Anniversary update & bitlocker encryted vhd drive problem

Hello,

I have big problem after updating my system with Anniversary update. I have VHD file encrypted with bitlocker - when I mount it after updating OS I receive prompt that drive is corrupt and question if I want to format it. Any ideas how to get prompt for password to unlock encryption and get my data back ?

Best Regards,

Maciek

I'm experiencing the same issue.  Any suggestions would be welcome.

Steve

what i found about my case is almost exactly in this post:

My case:

Drive C: encrypted with Mcafee, on this drive there is VHD file encrypted with bitlocker. After copying VHD file to drive E: and decrypting C: and then updating to Anniversary update all I can do is to mount VHD and OS ask me to format this virtual drive, and it is seen as RAW partition. Deinstalling Anniversary update does not help.

Hi, I'm having the same issue. At first the laptop from sleep wouldn't wake up Andy took forever to start.

now I'm fully locked out with Bitlocker - enter the recovery key to get going again.

this machine is only 1 month old.

Help, it is only a month old so my mcafee expired. Would this have something to do with it?

That is quite possible.

Try checking with McAfee (a division of the Intel Security Group)
