Windows Key + Arrow Key Functionality

The Windows Key + Right/Left Arrow combination moves the active window fine (which I like) but then brings up an option to select which window to place next to it and, thus, losing selection on the current window (which I don't like).  I want to move the window and continue working in that window rather than press ESC or click back to activate the window again.

Is there a way to change the way the shortcut works to be more like Windows 8?

The option you're looking for is Settings > System > Multi-tasking > When I snap a window, show what I can snap next to it.

Changing this to Off prevents the annoying popup you're describing.
