Hi,
I upgraded Windows 10 from Windows 8 recently. I have the same problem.
Based on your instruction, I can find Windows Fax and Scan in C drive, but it can't find my USB connected HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One to perform document scanning.
There is no problem to print any document through the same HP printer.
Cheers,
Paul

Hello,
You need to update your HP printer driver. Windows is able to print even without drivers, but it requires driver to be able to scan.
Uninstall any old HP printer driver and get the latest from the HP site:

Here is the latest Windows 10 driver for your HP Photosmart 3200:

I was able to get Fax and Scan working but to my surprise it would not fax with jpg attachments, only tif. I tried to scan within Fax and Scan itself and the resolution was awful. What are the graphics formats supported in Windows 10 Fax and Scan attachment? I might just as well go back to Windows 7 to get better results.
Thanks.

Windows 10 has my frustration level to skyrocketing, and your customer service phone support is far less than useless.
Your instructions to find Windows Fax and Scan in Program Data folder. Now I have noticed the folder is GONE. It was there before the upgrade. Now GONE. How does this happen?
I need Windows Fax and scan for my business use. I'm screwed without it. You have made my life hell. You are unprofessional fools.
Where is my program data file? Where is Windows Fax and Scan?????????

I have a similar problem with my HP LaserJet 3030 All-in-One printer / scanner. Microsoft Windows Fax and Scan no longer recognizes scanner after upgrade to Windows 10. I have looked at the HP website and there is one section that seems to suggest HP does not, or will not, be providing a driver to permit scanning in Windows 10 for that particular model. However, there is a website (driverscape.com) that appears to have a download that claims to be a scanner driver for that HP model and Windows 10. Please provide guidance as to if I should be able to use MS Windows Fax and Scan with an HP LaserJet 3030 All-in-One, and if so how I can get it working. If HP does have a driver for this purpose I would appreciate a specific description and link because I find the HP website terribly confusing as to the various options they supposedly provide. Thank you.

Hello,
Printing through any printer is done through a basic driver included with Windows 10. Scanning, however, requires manufacturer drivers.
Always download drivers either from microsoft.com or from your manufacturer's site (asus.com, hp.com). Many fake sites are full of viruses, not drivers.
For the 3210 All-In-One, HP released drivers for Win 10: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Photosmart-3200-All-in-One-Printer-series/439599/model/439603#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

Thanks GMReader,
Your comments provide a link for the HP 3210 All-in-One driver for Win 10. My model is Laserjet 3030 All-in-One. Is the driver for my model the same as for the 3210 in the link provided? Thank you very much.
