Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

Provide us the following information to assist you better.

1. Are you able to access other web browsers?

2. Do you remember making any changes to the computer prior to this issue?

Follow these methods.

Method 1: This is most likely your anti-virus program blocking Chrome from accessing the internet.

Temporarily disable Anti-virus software and then try access Google Chrome

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

I've the same problem, but I don´t have Anti-virus, Windows defender is the only protection in my pc. I´ve already uninstalled and installed chrome and nothing happens. I can´t visualize anything. Edge and Firefox are working just fine.

Hi,

Could you tell us what would be the other methods since I tried method 1 and nothing happens. In fat, my Chrome Browser starts, but I can't type something in the address bar, and can't load any webpages. I tried to open parameters, but since it's like a webpage nothings loads either.

And I tried to restart in windows 8 mode but then Chrome shuts off and doesn't restart.

Regards

My wife decided to restore back to 8.1 for now.  All works fine with 8.1.  Too bad Microsoft and Google don't play nicely.

Does not work.  My other browsers working, only Chrome affected. Typical, the 'punters' caught in the middle again.  Remember VHS versus Betamax etc etc...*******ds.

I  tried this as well and it didn't help. Everything worked fine before updating to Windows 10.  Now Chrome constantly freezes and/or crashes and it also freezes my entire computer. I can no longer play any of my Facebook games. When will this be fixed? All of my other browsers work just fine but I prefer Chrome for my games.

This solution didn't work.

Please provide another solution that actually works. And kindly remember that a problem isn't solved until one of the complainants marks it as Answered, so please check back: a lot of people are having this issue with Chrome and it's not being dealt with.

Hello!

Well, I had this type of problem too, with all of them: Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. I mean, I couldn't open a lot of websites like google, Facebook, twitter, etc. However, for other ones like Wikipedia and some others, I could open and they worked perfectly. I had a friend look at it, and he told me the real problem was with the scripts and the https. After looking for method 1, I went to my antivirus program (avast) and searched inside of website security without uninstalled this program. Then I looked there was a tick with the htpps and unticked it. Now the problem is solved, but I don't feel secure because I don't know if I should untick it with some websites. I really think that this problem is because of the scripts of Windows 10 and I would like to know if there is other way to solve it, like reinstalling different scripts or something like that (sorry, I don't know much about computers, so I am not sure if what I am saying can be done).  So, if someone knows something, please, answer to this.

Thank you
