Hello Zangari,
Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community and providing us with the detailed description about the issue.
As per the description, I understand that you are experiencing issue with Windows 10 and you are not able to sign in.
I certainly understand your concern and will try my best to help you.
I would suggest you to switch current Microsoft User Account to Local Account and then create new user profile and then try signing into that account using your Microsoft account and check if that helps. Please follow the steps given below.
How to update windows Live Accounts into Local Accounts in windows 8.1
-
First go to the Start Menu and start typing “Account” you will find the option “Your account settings”
-
Click and launch the setting page.
-
Click on start menu and go to account settings.
-
Go to Your accounts.
-
Click “Disconnect” Windows 8.1 account settings
Note: This will launch a prompt, you will need to confirm your current Windows Live account password. Also note by switching to your local accounts, you will NOT lose the settings or any files, the only advantage you will be missing out is the sync between other devices.

The above suggestion does not help me.
The problem is that after upgrading to Windows 10 on my other laptop, I was able to sign in only once or twice. After re-starting, I am seeing no password box on the starting page, and there are no icons to click. So, the page is essentially frozen. How do I get into my computer????

I used the procedure above, but it did not make any difference.
Sometimes the password box comes up and sometimes it does not. If it does not, then I click on the network access icon and then click on the desktop and suddenly the password box comes up. Doesn't make any sense, but that is how I have solved it so far.
On the other hand, I am regularly getting a message that my Google Profile could not be opened ever since I converted to Windows 10. I have checked the settings in my Google profile and they are correct. Likewise, I no longer have access to the internet on my cellphone. Something is wrong somewhere!!
