Erro code 80073d05 while installing apps

Original title: 80073d05.

 

So one day most of my windows 8 apps (ex mail) simply stop functioning, so I uninstall them and try to reinstall them.  I uninstall mail and attempt to reinstall it but I get 80073d05 error.  I've tried everything I can think of to try to get it to work an still nothing! Please help!!

  1. Are you facing same issue with reinstalling all apps or specific to mail app?
  2. What are troubleshooting methods you have tried to fix the issue?

The People, Mail, and Calendar apps work together. Uninstalling and reinstall mail app need to uninstalling and reinstalling of People and Calendar apps. Refer to these methods in the order in which they are presented and check. You can ignore the methods you have already tried.

 

Method 1:

I would suggest you to run the Windows 8 Apps Troubleshooter and check the issue status.

Method 2: You may try to reset the App cache.

a. Press Windows key + R to open run window.

b. Type wsreset.exe.

c. Press OK.

 

Method 3:

If you are running the Microsoft Account, run the Microsoft Troubleshooter to check if Microsoft Account is working fine Microsoft Accounts Troubleshooter is designed to deal the issues related with Microsoft accounts. When you run it, it will automatically detect common issues.

 

Method 4:

If the issue still persists, re-register the Store App and check.

a. Press “Windows Key + Q” button from the keyboard.

b. Type “Command Prompt” without quotes in the search box.

c. On the left pane, right click on the “Command Prompt” option and select “Run as Administrator”.

d. Run the following command, restart the computer and check.

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml
