H & R Block 2019 wont fully install. Gets to the point after entering activation code and H & R Block green symbol just keeps turning.

I have the same problem trying to install H&R Block 2019 software from a store-purchased disk on my Windows 10 PC. My firewalls and anti virus are turned off, and I even went into MSCONFIG to use "Selective Startup". Nothing works ! I have called the Block support line numerous times, and they had me try everything to no avail. Finally, last week, a  support agent told me that they discovered a problem with their software. A fix was in the works, and all should have been right by the last weekend. So far, I still can't get past the static solid green screen after entering my activation code. If this isn't resolved soon, it's "Turbo Tax" here we come.

What do I do now?

H&R Block support told me that the glitch was on their end. They corrected the problem and walked me through a successful installation.

After several tries, my downloaded software finally installed. I did restart my computer before it installed.

I had the same problem, and found that a small Windows Update is what held up the H&R Block install.

After resolving that and finishing the Federal return, now the program has stopped responding when it is trying to install the state return file.

Sigh, Block - your developers need to get their "stuff" together!
