Error C0190019 applying update operation 6503 of 138763 (SettingSync.dll)

In windows 8.1, I recently received an update. I downloaded it and decicded to install it.

But unfortunately I encountered this error provided in the image below.

I searched over the net for this specific error, but I was unable to find any solution.

But luckily while going through problems others faced like this

for example, I got an idea and solved the issue.

I'll update the solution below.

The error occurs due to no space in the C drive for the update to be installed.

You have to free up some space around 3GB for the installation to continue.

You can free space by opening the command prompt while in recovery mode.

In the command prompt type notepad.exe. This will open up a notepad, use File -> Open to explorer. In explorer go to MyComputer and check the free space in C and free up the space as needed by deleting/moving files from C Drive.
