Two Finger Scroll Stopped Working

I have a Dell Latitude E6446 running 64 bit, and after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1, my two finger scroll stopped working. I know there are many other posts like this, but none of their solutions seemed to help me. My mouse driver is Cirque GlidePoint, I believe, and even after downloading the latest driver, a dialogue box comes up saying, "There are no active devices available to configure.  Path: Software\Cirque\GlidePoint Touchpad\3.7"

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Neil,

Please try the following below methods and check if they help:

Method 1: Enable for two-finger scrolling feature:

1. Press or tap “Windows key + X”, click on "Control Panel." Navigate to "Mouse," under "Hardware and sound".
2. Select the "Touchpad" tab in the "Mouse" window. This tab will also list the touchpad manufacturer.
3. Select "Properties," "Settings," "Advanced".

4. Click the box next to "Enable scrolling" if this option is available.

5. Click the arrow to the right of "Scrolling" to open the scrolling list and select two-finger scrolling to access the specific features.

6. Click to enable for two-finger scrolling feature, then select "Adjust scrolling region" or the similar option, if available.
7. Drag the scrolling region to cover a larger portion of the touchpad if you want to ensure you can scroll easily.
8. Click "Ok" to apply any changes and close the options windows. Keep clicking "Ok" until all of the windows with this option are closed.

9. Restart your computer if prompted. Your scrolling feature should be enabled.

Method 2: If the above method did not help, try Uninstall and reinstall touch pad drivers from the manufacturer’s website and see if that helps:

Follow these steps:

1. Press “Windows Key + W” from the keyboard.

2. Type “Device Manager” without quotes in the search box and hit enter.

3. Right click on the touchpad drivers and select “Uninstall”.

4. Restart the computer once it is uninstalled.

Download the drivers from the computer manufacturers website

I downloaded the driver through Dell's support site. The normal install did not help. I removed the application from Programs and Features, then used Method 2 from above to remove the driver from Device Manager.

(reboot)

Found the original exe I downloaded for the Dell Driver setup. Used 7-Zip to extract the files.

Opened Computer Management -> Device Manager. Right clicked mouse drivers -> Update -> Let me choose -> Point to the location I extracted the Drivers to.

(C:\Drivers\M3800_Input_Driver_D2M6V\production\Windows10-x64)

It found the driver and installed.

(reboot)

Touchpad Two Finger scroll is now working. Thank you RizwanPasha for your info and I hope these addition steps can help others.

I am unable to find the touchpad. Under the mouse section, I am unable to find out the touchpad option. I have attached the image. Also in the device manager section, I am unable to find the touchpad.
