Merging my Xbox Live gamertag/account into my newer Microsoft account.

Hello,

I am currently using Windows 8.1 with my newer Microsoft account.  My Xbox Live Gamertag is set to an older live.com account that I only use for XBL.  Is there a way I can merge the two accounts so I can have my old gamertag linked to my newer Microsoft account?  Also, I made an alternative Gamertag on my newer Microsoft account, but it is not important to me.

You can change the Microsoft account that's associated with your Xbox Live gamertag. Here's how: Sign in using your Xbox Live gamertag. Go to settings and select Account
