Windows 8.1 is rebooting when waking from sleep mode

Follow the methods given below and check if the issue persists.
Method 1: Except keyboard and mouse, disconnect all the external devices that are connected to the computer and check if the issue persists.
If the above method does not work, go to next method.
Method 2: Run the power troubleshooter. Follow these steps:
You can follow the steps to run the power troubleshooter on the computer and check for the status of this issue.
Note: Power troubleshooter helps to fix any issue with the power settings of the computer.
Follow the steps:
a) Press Windows and w key together and type troubleshooting.
b) Press Enter.
c) Click on View all on the left panel.
d) Click on Power.
e) Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue using the Power troubleshooter.
If the above method does not work, go to next method.
Method 3: Delete the current power plan and create it again.

There is possibility that the system hangs on suspend and then eventually crashes with 9F. Check your %SystemRoot%\Minidump folder to see if there is a memory.dmp file. If there is one, upload it to your skydrive and share the link.

Yeah my laptop (HP4740s) isn't waking up from sleep either. So I have checked my minidump folder and I am having a couple created every time I try to put the laptop to sleep.

This is not really an answer but wanted to check if you have all the updates on your system.
If not, could you run windows update and make sure that you have all the updates?
