Windows 8.1 is rebooting when waking from sleep mode

Hi community! After installing windows 8.1 from windows 8 (64 bit), every time I put the computer to sleep and wake it up, the computer boots up as if it was off and I turned it on! Very annoying. When I put it into sleep mode the monitor turns off and the power LED flashes as normal but waking it up is the problem. This did not happen in windows 8 and at the moment I regret "upgrading". Please help Microsoft support person or anyone!

Specs:

Kingston v300 120gb SSD (boot drive)
seagate barracuda 1TB hdd
asus m5a99x evo r2.0
amd fx-8320
GTX 650Ti

I've found online that it may be a driver issue but everything is the latest drivers, and have been reinstalled since 8.1 install. The graphics driver is not beta either.
If anyone wants me to give more information or pictures or whatever to help fix this I will be very happy to!

Thanks!

Hi I am having the same problem. It seems to enter sleep mode, but when I try to wake the computer, it restarts itself. How did  you solve this?

There is possibility that the system hangs on suspend and then eventually crashes with 9F.  Check your %SystemRoot%\Minidump folder to see if there is a memory.dmp file.  If there is one, upload it to your skydrive and share the link.

Thank you everybody for your replies :) I have actually reinstalled windows since posting this question because I had almost no important files on c drive. However the fine gentleman who does have this problem who is probably as frustrated as I was will appreciate the help.
Thank you all! (Much better than Microsoft helpline...)

Try to disable hybrid sleep. Go to Power Options -> Edit Plan Settings -> Change advanced power settings -> Sleep -> Allow hybrid sleep -> Off

Yeah my laptop (HP4740s) isn't waking up from sleep either. So I have checked my minidump folder and I am having a couple created every time I try to put the laptop to sleep.

You can access them all here:

This is not really an answer but wanted to check if you have all the updates on your system.

If not, could you run windows update and make sure that you have all the updates?

Thanks.
