trouble opening windows 8 release preview metro apps low resolution error even when having 720p native screen

i have installed windows 8 release preview in my acer netbook acer aspire 522 , which is powered by amd apu c50 and a native resolution of 1280 x 720. When i try to open the metro apps i get the error that the resolution is too low and the minimum is 1024 x 768, i have installed the amd driver catalyst and still the same error , i tried the reg hack too of windows 8 resolution hack and cant find the display1 detect reg in the lappy in the regedit, if the min resolution needed is 1024 x 768 , why isnt the metro apps running even if i got a native 720p (1280 x 720) screen which is bigger any day, but when i tried hyper v in windows 8 release preview and made a windows 8 copyrun in hyper v machine , the metro apps ran in hyper v copy, but in the original windows 8 mode metro apps have trouble realizing i have a 720p screen. please help regarding this, its really annoying

Hi

The 1024x768 is a hard coded requirement for displaying the Windows 8 Apps.

Your 1280 horizontal resolution is OK, but the 720 vertical resolution will not work.

Please review the following article for the details about why this minimum resolution was chosen.

Scaling to different screens:

Also, check with your Netbook/video device manufacturer. Some manufacturers are working on a driver patch to fix the problem.
