Windows 8 release preview is not working on Dell Inspiron n5110 laptop screen, have to connect an external one

When windows 8 boot after the windows boot logo laptop screen shuts off and then i have to connect external monitor. Please tell me how to fix it? Same problem is doing with Windows 8 consumer Preview too.

Hi,

 

 

I would suggest you to contact  Dell for Graphics Adapter drivers and get in touch with the Intel support and check if they have released any new drivers for the Intel hd graphics 3000.

Note: If the drivers are not compatibility then install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

 

a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.
c) Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.
d) Select the particular drive or program, click on install and follow the onscreen instructions.
